RHONDA’S COMMENTS

Welcome old friends, new friends and family! We hope that you will enjoy the premier issue of “Bronzeville Babies™. Our purpose is to focus in on the dreams and stories of African Americans who lived in the Bronzeville community during the Great Migration (1916 through 1976).

This issue introduces two Bronzeville Babies™ caricatures, Barbara Ann and Eddie Travels. Their stories are fictional but very recognizable. Because, no matter the circumstances, as human beings we aspire to dreams that may seem impossible. But it is human nature to strive and make those dreams happen.

Please take a look at our section, “Shopping”, for hand crafted dolls, art, and home décor items. The “What’s Going On” section lists current activities going on in the Bronzeville community.  Finally, I hope that you will share your thoughts and stories. There’s a special opportunity in the “Contact Us” section for you to do so.

I believe that when we share our stories and our dreams, and listen to other’s stories and dreams, we honor the power of all, no matter what age, gender, or race.

Peace and Joy for 2024,
